Getting used to the new normal

Getting used to the new normal

As Covid-19 infections continue to climb, the Indian government has announced a countrywide lockdown. But as many on Team Kinara already know, we are already transitioning to a work-from-home model, for the safety of our employees.

This unprecedented circumstance is changing the way we live and work even as you read this. But we as a team have always been used to the idea of connecting across geographies and still working together as a team.

The mantra that is on everyone’s lips lately is “stay home”. Not only is this one of the best ways to break the chain of Covid-19 transmission and stop the pandemic in its tracks, it is also a good way to spend some extra time with family. For now, your colleagues have been replaced by your family members. They might keep you company, join you for lunch or walk in on the occasional meeting over video call, but what better way to make the most of a difficult situation.

The Kinara Family will, of course, stand by each other as we always have. We are in the process of coming up with some fun online sessions you can participate in to stay connected with your colleagues even beyond work.

As the sudden lockdown has resulted in a crisis for migrant workers across the country, who are stranded and without the basics, we also invite you to donate to institutions that are working to ease their situation, and help in any other way you can. To do our part, we have designated part of our CSR budget for the cause by donating it to the Akshaya Patra Foundation. The organization is working to provide hot meals to stranded migrant workers.

Please remember to follow the WHO guidelines on Covid-19 prevention (https://bit.ly/2S778PQ). Stay home, stay safe.
